Shannon Skelton, PT, MTC, NCPT, PMA
Shannon has been a licensed physical therapist practicing in Starkville since 1997. She received her undergraduate degree from Millsaps College in 1994 with a double major in Biology and Chemistry with a minor in Psychology. She then completed her physical therapy training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Shannon’s areas of special interest include spine rehabilitation, women's health, balance and gait training, sports performance enhancement and chronic pain. She also holds a Manual Therapy Certification. Shannon’s goal for every meeting is to provide the highest level of individualized physical therapy and wellness services possible, which was the inspiration behind starting Restore Manual Therapy and Movement Training.
In addition to her skills as a manual physical therapist, Shannon also uses Pilates for rehabilitation as a way to improve whole body mobility and joint function. Her skill set is truly unique and allows her to offer the best of traditional physical therapy, advanced manual therapy skills and Pilates-based movement training to design a rehabilitation or wellness program that will strengthen the body, train proper movement patterns and reduce pain and stiffness in muscles and joints.
